Australians Actors Studio supports talent like Rachna, who participate in acting based team training.

Acting based team training is one of the more dynamic specialties at the Australian Actors Studio. In team oriented group work, we explore practical and creative tools, boosting collaboration and energy. This strategy aims to give participants a genuine sense of creative expression using role play, improvisation and scripted scenes and team work.

Working in partnership with Audition Buddy, team strategy training further aims to motivate, energise, and inspire candidates creatively.

Additionally, this team building concept enables actors and non-actors to explore their energetic strengths.

Candidates can use their creative skills to hone their self expression and character development. This creative strategy helps to further enhance their team bonding experience.

What happens in acting based team training, if the reader isn’t giving it 100%?

In acting based team training, if the reader isn’t giving their character 100%, then the talent self-taping should always try compensating instead.

By workshopping as a team, this can be achieved by going above and beyond in your performance.

Is there a silver lining when participating in self-tape team bonding events.

Team building activities involve receiving good feedback. Remember, it’s far better than having an audience or Casting Director like your performance, but they really want to know who your reader is.

Alternatively, if your reader is lacking in their energy or enthusiasm, make a conscious creative decision. By using your acting based team training skills, make a conscious effort to give the Casting Director or your audience, something they will remember.

Rachna’s experience aims to demonstrate that acting based team training involves a creative and conscious decision. This emphasis is more on the part of the talent, not the reader.

Team work means, committing to and owning the moment, we shouldn’t need to be concerned about our readers energy levels or enthusiasm. This is because team spirit activities involve learning together, as part of a group.

Energetic compensation is more common than you may realise. Even if a candidate is a team player, it can still be very challenging for those without any acting training. We all must appreciate the importance of matching our partners energy, delivery and responsiveness.

The Australian Actors Studio offers an abundance of creative resources for great team building events.

These practical resources aim to help participants harness their energy, focus and consistency. All three elements are paramount in performance for stage, screen, and voice-overs.

It’s not only the resources that are important, but also our creative commitment. By utilising these resources with regular and consistent practice and revision, we also stand to improve our self-confidence.

This is why team building exercises and acting based team training work so well to support teams. Teams work best when we aim to improve workplace culture, morale, productivity and performance through fun and engaging activities.
