  • Find a quiet space: Choose a location where you won't be interrupted.
  • Good lighting: Make sure you're well-lit.

  • Recording in a quite space
  • A suitable microphone (Lapel microphones are not advisable)
  • Shooting in landscape, unless otherwise instructed
  • Shooting from the torso up
  • Select an eyeline and maintain it
  • Leaving a three second beat at the start and that the end of the self-tape
  • Wearing a black top, or suitable wardrobe coinciding with their character
